Costs Extra deals Access to Online Books Who is using the materials?
With such an extensive user-base, WNL is able to achieve economies of scale.  WNL is offering the same low cost effective solution to other organisations.

Any eligible organisation may join for £800  per year plus VAT for the duration of the contract.  This entitles 50 employees to use all the facilities.  Extra user licences are available at £400 plus VAT, for each additional 25 users for every remaining year of the contract.  Users may be replaced on an annual basis.

Discounts of 25% on the normal list prices for those wishing to take a separate contract out with SkillSoft owned courses.

Enrolled students in organisations connected to the JANET network can use the facilities. Please email elearning@wnl.net for further information including rates.

Extra titles can be purchased for £25 + VAT each and then everyone in the scheme can use them.

From July 2008 members have been able to subscribe to the Books 24 x 7 online initiative for the heavily subsidised price (it is normally £250 plus VAT) of £80 plus VAT per person for one-year - whilst stocks last.

Interested in joining the eLearning initiative?   ASK FOR A TRIAL FIRST AUTUMN 2008 OFFER
REQUEST to join by email

Please email elearning@wnl.net supplying the following information:

1.   Contact details of a person in your organisation who will act as local Administrator.  This task is not at all onerous as it carries a limited list of duties.  Most support is provided 24 /7 by the supplying company; SkillSoft.  Please confirm with your elected local Administrator that they give their permission for their contact details to be mounted on the web.

2.   Your Finance Office details together with Purchase Orders for £400 + VAT should be sent to:

Welsh Networking Limited
41 Park Place
CARDIFF
CF10 3BB

3.   Your organisation will then be invoiced.

4.  Instructions on how to proceed will be sent to your local eLearning Administrator.

If you would like to try the eLearning materials for one week then please email this request to elearning@wnl.net.

You will need to supply:

  • Contact details of the people (up to two) who would like to partake in the trial together with their organisation's email address;
  • The start and end dates of the one-week trial;
  • The contact details for a person for us to contact after the trial has finished.

We currently have members from over 40 organisations based around the UK.

With almost 7 months to go to the end of the contract (end of February 2009) we are actively encouraging as many organisations and institutions to join the scheme.  The more the merrier as it will give us a strong standpoint from which to negotiate a good deal for the JANET community.

We have decided to offer the remaining term of the contract to 50 staff at each organisation for a total of £400 plus VAT.

Bear in mind that these are top quality courses and many of the professional ICT courses would command a charge of over £2000 each for a training course for just one member of staff.  This represents amazing value.  Please spread the word to your colleagues in fellow organisations.

If you have any further questions please email elearning@wnl.net.
