Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I join the WNL initiative?

  2. How do we pay WNL for our Books24x7 licence(s)?

1.  How do I join the WNL initiative?

The contract covers all organisations connected to the JANET network UK-wide and IT departments of Local Authorities in Wales.  SkillSoft will need to approve the joining of each organisation.

If you qualify under the criteria above, please complete the forms under the How to Join the contract

2.  How do we pay WNL for our Books24x7 licence(s)?

A single-user educational licence purchased directly from Skillsoft is normally £250 plus VAT per annum. As an introductory offer WNL is able to provide one subsidised licence to each of the 40 organisations that currently subscribe to the WNL eLearning initiative (click here to see the list).

By subsidising the scheme WNL has been able to reduce this cost to £80 plus VAT per licence. However, please be aware that WNL can only offer this subsidy to the first 40 subscribers.

After the first 40 (subsidised) licences have been allocated, additional licences may be purchased in batches of 5 from WNL at £195 plus VAT each per annum.

If your organisation wishes to take advantage of a subsidised licence, you must respond (by email) before the end of May 2008.

Any remaining discounted licences will then be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. WNL's eLearning coordinator will inform you whether your request for a discounted licence has been successful and will provide instruction on the correct amount that your organisation will need to enter on an official purchase order form.

Purchase orders should then be sent to:

Your organisation will then be invoiced accordingly. If you have any questions, please email elearning@wnl.net
